Miss C’s Story

Miss C came back for her second boudoir session with me shortly after having a baby.

Which already tells you something important: there is no perfect “before” version of yourself you have to become before booking.

Miss C had been wanting to do another boudoir session, and when the timing finally worked with her budget, she decided to go for it. She came into the studio with the very normal mix of nerves and excitement, then left with photos she and her husband already loved before she had even seen the full gallery.

Miss C’s session happened not long after having a baby, and that mattered to her.

Because her body had just been through something huge, and she still wanted to feel like herself in front of the camera.

She said:

“I had my photoshoot shortly after I had a baby and you can’t even tell. I’ve only seen the sneak peeks, but my husband and I already love them. I’m so glad I had that opportunity to have Arielle shoot these for me!!”

And I love that she said “you can’t even tell,” not because postpartum bodies need to be hidden, but because she got to see herself in a way that felt good to her.

Not Knowing What to Do

Like so many clients, Miss C did not walk in magically knowing how to pose. Very rude that none of us are born knowing what to do with our hands in photos, but here we are.

She told me:

“I had no idea what I was doing, but Arielle posed me and guided me the whole time. She showed me a couple photos in between, and not even edited, they looked great.”

That is the whole point of being guided.

I’ll show you what to do, adjust the tiny details, and help you see that the version of you in the camera is not nearly as awkward as your brain tried to convince you she would be.

Classic brain behavior.

Playing in the Client Closet

One of Miss C’s favorite parts of the day was the client closet. She loved trying on different lingerie pieces, seeing how they fit, and exploring styles she may not have picked on her own.

In her words:

“Honestly, all the lingerie in the client closet to choose from. It was fun trying everything on and seeing how different pieces looked.”

This is exactly why the closet is included with every session. You do not have to guess what will photograph well. You do not have to buy everything yourself. You do not have to know what style works for your body before you arrive.

We can try things. Adjust. Swap. Layer. Change the plan.

Sometimes the piece you thought would be the favorite is not the favorite.
Sometimes the thing you never would have grabbed yourself is the one.

After the Shoot

By the end of her session, Miss C felt confident and excited about what we had created. She said:

“Confident! Again, I think I’m going to have some amazing photos for my husband and I.”

Her session was not about pretending her body had not changed or trying to rush herself into some polished version of “back to normal.”

It was about documenting her in that season of life with care, direction, and a whole lot of proof that she could still look at herself and think, “Oh. There I am.”

Advice From Miss C

For anyone thinking about booking a boudoir session, Miss C’s advice was simple:

“Whether you’re insecure or not, if you want to do a boudoir shoot, definitely just go for it. It’s an amazing experience. And the photos are beautiful.”

And honestly, yes.

You do not have to wait until you feel ready. You do not have to wait until your body feels familiar again. You do not have to wait until you know what to wear, how to pose, or what version of yourself is going to show up that day.

That is what the session is for.

Thinking About Your Own Session?

Whether this would be your first session, your second, or your “I keep saying someday and I’m tired of hearing myself say it” session, you do not have to figure it out alone.

Miss C came in nervous, used the client closet, let herself be guided, and left with images she and her husband loved.

You can show up exactly where you are. I’ll help with the rest.
