Hair and makeup is part of the client experience, not just a beauty service.
A lot of clients arrive excited and nervous at the same time, which is very normal. Having this time before we start shooting helps the day feel less rushed and gives you a chance to settle into the studio before we begin.
You can drink coffee, tea, or water, have a snack, show me inspiration photos, ask last-minute questions, and slowly ease into the experience.
The goal is not perfection. It is for you to feel cared for, prepared, and a little more grounded before we start creating images.
Professional hair and makeup is included with my Glow Up and Luxe AF boudoir packages.
Both packages include:
On-site hair styling
Full makeup application
Fake lashes
Skin prep before makeup
Time to settle in before we start shooting
This all happens in the studio, so you are not running from appointment to appointment or trying to keep your lashes intact in the car like it is an Olympic sport.
You show up, get comfortable, and let me handle the getting-camera-ready part.
When you arrive, we’ll start with hair and makeup before moving into outfits and shooting.
We’ll talk through the look you want, look at any inspiration photos you brought, and make sure the final result feels aligned with your comfort level. Soft and natural? Perfect. A little more glam? Also perfect. Somewhere in the middle because you want to look like yourself, but with better lighting and maybe a lash? Love that.
After hair and makeup, we’ll go through outfits together, including anything you brought and pieces from the client closet if you want to use them.
Then we start shooting.
And no, you do not have to know how to pose. That part is still my job.
Please arrive with:
Clean, dry hair, preferably washed the day before
A bare face with no makeup
No heavy skincare products
Inspiration photos for hair or makeup looks you like
You do not need to know exactly what you want before you arrive. Inspiration photos are helpful, but we can also talk through your style, your session vibe, and what feels most like you.
Hair and makeup is not a magic confidence ritual. I know. Rude.
But it can be a really helpful part of the process.
For many clients, this is when the nerves start to calm down. You are sitting in the studio, the day has started, we are talking through the plan, and suddenly the whole thing feels a lot less unknown.
Yes, you’ll look polished and camera-ready. Obviously, we love that.
But the bigger purpose is comfort.
Hair and makeup helps you ease into the experience instead of feeling like you have to be ready the second you walk through the door.

It`s been one whole year since coming to the new studio (peep the selfie from my first session here), and it still feels a bit like a pinch me moment when I come in. Sometimes it`s crazy to reflect on a years growth because it`s a lot of time while simultaneously being no time at all.
I generally am someone who will do things on a whim with the belief it`ll work out, and deciding to take a chance by saying yes has continued to still be a pretty rad decision.

It`s been a while since I`ve done this and there`s lots of new, beautiful faces. So, hey. I`m Arielle, your personal hype girl and I`m so happy you`re here!

-I`ve been shooting for around 10 years in commercial, weddings, and lifestyle. Ya girl loves boudoir though.
-I also own a marketing agency and specialize in web design.
- I shoot in my bra and underwear so you aren`t the only one half naked during your session.
- I`m five years sober, crazy!
- I`m slightly (a lot) obsessed with my cats, a good book, and bubble baths.
-I collect PEZ containers.
- I`ve hiked around 50 places solo around Michigan.
-I`m severely ADHD and type B, I will misplace things minimum 100 times during a session.
- I`m beyond thankful for every client who trusts me with this experience.
- My print supplier is 100% women ran and owned, and all their products are handmade.
