Why Boudoir?

Let's answer a question I get often - "Why boudoir?"

What I’ve built through boudoir over the years is my why – it’s about the journey and the impact I get to have on my clients’ lives, from women finding sobriety themselves and choosing me due to my openness on my addiction and sobriety story, to the woman finding herself after an abusive marriage, or the trans woman currently transitioning that let me be the first person to see her publicly as a woman, to every single woman who chooses me to be part of their journey. To sum it up, it’s building this community into what it is today — a space where women of all backgrounds, sizes, and experiences feel truly seen, celebrated, and empowered.

I started shooting boudoir because I found a passion for it beyond the creativity — boudoir became a huge part of my own self-love journey. I got sober in March of 2021 after five years of struggling to get there and multiple relapses, finally doing it after losing my person, my best friend, the guy I thought I would marry someday from an overdose, and that shift in my life opened up a new chapter. I had to learn how to love myself without the numbing effects of alcohol, and trust me, that’s no small feat. It’s an ongoing journey, and one that still takes work every day. Boudoir allows me to share a piece of that journey with my clients, offering them a space to find their confidence and reconnect with themselves.

In each session, I get to witness women come in, nervous and unsure, but by the end, they leave glowing, often surprised by the strength and beauty they’ve seen in themselves, and ready to do another session. I love creating an atmosphere where we laugh, talk about life, and find that perfect pose that makes them feel like a total badass. Whether it’s slipping into a luxurious lace bodysuit or sitting back on my plush blue velvet couch, I’m here to make sure they see their most beautiful, most authentic self. To appreciate their body as a whole including their insecurities.

The women I work with are my why, they’re what make this job not just a career but my biggest accomplishment, the difference I am making in every client’s life. The studio I’ve created in Downtown Bay City is my little safe haven, and I can’t wait to welcome each and every woman who puts her trust in me into it. From the lush plants and warm candles to that killer egg chair everyone loves, every corner is designed to make each woman feel held, beautiful, and ready to step into their power. So, I am honored to be chosen as a safe space to help women on their journey find parts of themselves that they may have forgotten or never known was there.
