Miss J

Miss J’s boudoir shoot wasn’t just a photoshoot – it was an act of self-love and body celebration. After losing 50 pounds, she came in ready to reclaim her confidence, and left with a newfound sense of pride and empowerment. Her transformation wasn’t just physical; it was emotional and deeply personal. This is what boudoir is all about.

Miss J came to me with a vision – a way to reconnect with her body after a significant transformation. Having recently lost 50 pounds, she wanted to embrace and celebrate the changes, stepping into her sensuality and confidence. After seeing a friend’s boudoir photos, she reached out with questions and quickly made the decision to book her own session. She was ready to make an album for her boyfriend, but more importantly, she was ready to make a gift for herself: the gift of self-love and body positivity.

Before the session, Miss J was understandably nervous. Like many women, she wasn’t sure what to expect, and the idea of stepping in front of the camera felt intimidating. She even sat in her car for 20 minutes outside the studio, trying to calm her nerves. But as soon as she walked in, she was greeted with warmth and support, and all those nerves melted away. The transformation from nervous to confident started immediately – a combination of the pampering makeup session and the comfort of having a photographer who truly cared about her experience.

Miss J told me that the favorite part of her session was seeing her confidence soar as we worked through the shoot. We took time to ensure that every shot made her feel like a queen, showing her the images as we went along. She smiled, relaxed, and embraced her body with pride. It wasn’t just about posing in sexy outfits; it was about rediscovering the beauty she had been putting off seeing.

She came to the shoot with a favorite feature in mind – her red hair (which gets tons of compliments!) and, of course, her smile and curves. Like many women, she had a few areas she was self-conscious about, like her arms and her double chin, but those worries quickly faded as we focused on her radiant self.

When asked about her body, Miss J mentioned that her boyfriend couldn’t stop complimenting her gorgeous curves – especially her booty and her boobs. Her confidence in her body, which had been slowly rediscovered, was reignited with each shot.

After the shoot, Miss J said she felt “confident, proud, and courageous.” The session helped her embrace her body, boost her self-esteem, and see herself in a whole new light. She learned that she had more self-confidence than she realized and truly started to embrace her sensual side.

To all the women out there thinking about booking their own boudoir session, Miss J has some great advice: “Go in knowing that being nervous is totally normal. Step outside of what your ‘normal’ is and have fun with it! You will be surprised at how much fun you have and seeing yourself in a different light.”

For Miss J, this session wasn’t just about the photos – it was about reconnecting with herself, showing off the beautiful body she’s worked so hard to feel good in, and embracing her true, confident self.

What made you decide to do a boudoir session?

I’ve wanted to do one for a while but was so apprehensive. I saw my friend Sami post a few of her shoots, so I messaged her with some questions. I’ve lost 50 lbs since January 1st and needed some more help with my body image, so I pulled the trigger. Plus, I want to make an album for the man as a gift.

Please rate your overall experience during your session.

1 million. It was such a great experience! I was so relaxed from the moment I walked in. It wasn’t uncomfortable or awkward at all. I felt like I was a friend from the first minute I was there.

How did you feel BEFORE having your session?

I was so nervous and scared. I went back and forth for months on whether I should or shouldn’t. I even sat in the parking lot for 20 minutes before going in, trying to calm my nerves. I had a few conversations via messenger, which made me more comfortable, but I was still so nervous, lol.

Were you comfortable during your session? How did I make you feel?

I was so at ease and relaxed. From the first hello, I felt so much calmer, and my anxiety just kind of faded away. Getting my makeup done and feeling pampered was the icing on the cake. I felt like you took the time to get to know me before I got there and understand what I may or may not like. I was smiling the whole time, and I loved that you showed me shots as we did the session. It really boosted my confidence.

What was your FAVORITE part of the session?

Seeing and feeling my confidence level increase during the session!

How did you feel AFTER your shoot?

I felt confident, proud, and courageous. The experience helped me embrace my body and boosted my self-esteem and self-image. I felt like the Queen that I am.

What did doing this do for your confidence? Did you discover anything about yourself that you didn't know was there or that you forgot was there?

That I had more self-confidence than I thought. I saw myself in a different light, especially when it came to showing more of my sensual side. I saw how beautiful I truly am.

Any advice for other women consider doing a boudoir session of their own?

What an amazing experience I had with Arielle and my boudoir photoshoot. She was so professional and made me feel so relaxed. I was so nervous going in, but as soon as I walked in the room, you could feel that all go away. It was such an inviting atmosphere. Everything from getting my makeup done to the huge client closet was perfect! Cannot wait until my next shoot and proud to be an Arielle Roth Boudoir Model now!!
